Abstract
External measurement of magnetic fields generated in the human brain to develop a noncontact and noninvasive observation system of the electrical phenomena occurring within the brain is described. The visual response evoked by a flashed light when it hits the subject´s eye is measured by the SQUID fluxmeter at the back of the subject´s head. Two current dipole models, one a numerical analysis model used on a computer, and the other a basic experimental model designed to confirm the results of the numerical model, were developed representing the pattern of the brain magnetic field.
