Abstract :
A new synthesis approach to the design of finite impulse response (FIR) filters with a close approximation to the Hilbert transform for AM-SSB generation of wideband signals is discussed. It is shown that the new method can reduce the vestigial sideband by up to 59% compared with that obtained with a conventional FIR filter design method
