Abstract
This paper focuses on electric motor options specific to rolling element bearing totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) ac induction motors. Topics such as temperature and vibration probes, space heaters, seals and sealing practices, and various other features will be explored. Understanding how these options can benefit specific motor applications can increase user satisfaction, extend motor life, reduce maintenance, and improve operating conditions.
