Abstract :
Co-ferrite film was fabricated by the thermal decomposition method and its various characteristics were determined. Ms variation agreed with that of the film X-ray diffraction peak intensity suggesting that it corresponds to the degree of crystallization. The crystal grains of the film were found to be small with diameters in the range 1000 to 2000 Ã…, apparently one cause of the high Hc. It was confirmed that Co-ferrite film fabricated by the thermal decomposition method has excellent characteristics for use as opto-magnetic recording material.
