Abstract :
The authors propose a set of functions to approximate hysteresis loops in calculations of hysteresis losses by the finite element method, which are modifications of the approximating function of Potter et al, to broaden the range of applicability. The results of actual calculations using this method for the hysteresis loss distribution in a two-legged transformer are indicated.
