Abstract :
The aim of this article is to give an overview of the teaching of control engineering in the United Kingdom. Historical perspectives are included, together with some background information on the university education system in the UK. There are now more than 100 universities in the UK, many of which have significant activities in control. In order to give a detailed impression of current practice, four major control programs are described individually. Also, a more extended discussion is given on the author´s own institution
