Abstract
Active matrix organic light-emitting-diode (OLED) displays using the amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin-film transistor (TFT) as the active element offer a promising avenue for high-performance displays. However, the TFT is prone to a gate-bias-dependent threshold voltage shift (VT shift) which leads to current instability, thus affecting the pixel brightness. This brief discusses an rms error estimation technique with an HVCMOS-TFT implementation to stabilize the OLED current
