Abstract :
The finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) update equations for sharp metal edges are extended in this paper. New FDTD update equations for sharp metal edges diagonal to cell cube in FDTD grid are presented. Unlike the literature , the edge is assumed to be not parallel to any cell face. A dramatic improvement in computed accuracy was observed when a stripline with two sharp edges diagonal to the cell cube in FDTD grid was analyzed using the new equations.
