Abstract :
An electrooptic on/off gate-based demultiplexing scheme for high-bit-rate optical transmission systems is reported. The electrooptic demultiplexing of a time-division multiplexed 49.6-Gb/s data stream using cascaded Ti:LiNbO/sub 3/ Mech-Zehnder (MZ) intensity modulators is shown.<>
