Abstract :
A 2 GHz band portable radio telephone has been fabricated using the spread-spectrum technique. We describe the fundamental performance, bit error rates with and without interference, measured using the experimental telephone. The telephone system´s user density is estimated by computer simulation under relatively realistic conditions.
