Abstract :
In this paper we consider a family of discrete linear systems in the presence of a small parameter. When the small parameter vanishes the degree of the corresponding characteristic polynomials drops. Necessary and sufficient computationally tractable stability conditions for the family of characteristic polynomials are provided
