Abstract :
An 86 mW, compact 265 nm ultraviolet (UV) source based on a 1.2 kW peak power seeded ytterbium fibre amplifier and cascaded, single-pass second-harmonic generation in periodically poled KTP and bulk BBO is reported. The scalability of the power to hundreds of milliwatts in the UV is feasible
