Abstract :
Pictures having two or three cathode arc roots on the tubular graphite cathode in a direct current arc discharge at atmospheric pressure and without the influence of the external magnetic field are presented. We find that cathode multiarc roots form easily by way of increasing the temperature of the cathode surface.
