  • Abstract
    An optical measurement system using a laser streamer method for analysis of the corona space charge field was proposed. Also, a laser induced streamer phenomena was observed by an image converter camera device (ICCD). The electrons generated by the laser arrived at the rod electrode initiating the streamer corona, which diffuses from the rod electrode. The electric field measured by the laser streamer method was 150 kV/m at 7.4 mm from the top of the high-voltage rod electrode. It was found that the laser streamer method was effective in measuring the corona charge field near the electrode.
