Abstract :
A new ultra-wideband microstrip to conductor backed coplanar waveguide (CB-CPW) transition structure is presented and implemented. Results show good performance in terms of bandwidth, which is about 12 GHz. Using this transition, a new ultra-wideband filter was designed and fabricated. Simulated and measured results show that the filter can cover the band from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz (-10 dB bandwidth)
