Abstract :
A technique is presented for determining the transfer function of an nth-order pole-zero system when its frequency response is specified at 2n+1 distinct frequencies. It involves solving only two sets of linear simultaneous equations. The author makes clear its analogy to the famous Prony method. Although known since 1934, the technique appears to be new to the area of signal processing
