Abstract :
The effects of channel transmission errors as well as packet collisions on delay-throughput performance are determined for ALOHA systems. The results are applied to the optimization of multichannel system throughput when retransmissions from bit errors prevent efficient utilization of a single wide-band power-limited channel.
