Abstract :
A two chip low-noise transimpedance amplifier with automatic gain control (AGC) is presented. The amplifier has been developed for a 10-Gb/s optical-fiber system and fabricated in a Si-bipolar production technology. The maximum transimpedance is as high as 45 k/spl Omega/ and the electrical input dynamic range is 33 dB.<>
