Abstract :
Light propagation in disordered dielectric materials shows many similarities with electron transport. The most simple example of this is Ohm\´s law which has a counterpart in optics as well. We have performed optical measurements on the transmission through opaque liquid crystals and infiltrated porous glasses to illustrate this effect. In particular, we have studied a system where the "optical resistivity" can be made temperature dependent
