Abstract :
Time-domain down and up going eigenmodes are identified in a finitely conducting half-space for an obliquely incident plane wave. The tangential electromagnetic fields are related to each other in each eigenmode, through a convolution kernel due to the conductivity. The propagating modes are then used to calculate the transient reflection directly in the time-domain for TE and TM modes. Numerical results are presented and compared to the ones given by others
