Abstract :
Er-doped multicomponent bismuthate channel waveguides have been fabricated. Dependence of emission lifetime of Er3+ ions on the concentration of Er3+ ions is investigated and compared with the other silicate materials. The loss and gain characteristics of the channel waveguide are reported.
