Abstract :
In implicit training for channel estimation, the training sequence is added to the information data, as opposed to it being placed in a separate empty time-slot, as in, say, GSM. It is shown that, by also removing each data packet´s deterministic mean before transmission, both the channel estimate, and the BER after MMSE equalisation, can be improved.
