Abstract :
This paper introduces the key technology of the Uplink Center facility for ISDB-S that provides HDTV based digital broadcasting services in Japan. It especially focuses on the unique aspects of the base-band signal processing,such as multiplexing, channel coding, and clock synchronization, as they relate to the ISDB-S transmission system.
