Abstract
A communication system using two transmitters connected to spaced antennas and received on a single antenna has been found equally effective to using spaced receiving antennas for diversity action. This system is especially applicable for shore to ship transmission because of the impracticability of providing spaced receiving antennas on ships. Since this system uses frequency shift keying, a system is provided that has the advantages of frequency shift keying, the advantages of diversity, as well as the advantages of simplified receiving equipment where space and operating personnel are at a premium.
