Abstract

TEST is a simple way to realize a multilingual teletext transmission system including the control of the database and the full editing functions. The hardware and the software are described. The architecture consists of a PC card and controller/driver software which are in accordance with the world standard teletext specifications and support the national option character set transmitted by using package X26. The software covers all the languages proposed by the available teletext decoders. The software is separated into three parts: resident software for real-time transmission, interface to the editor, and a multilingual editor
