Abstract :
A small sized facsimile machine with a high picture quality and with good gray-level image processing capabilities was developed. This facsimile machine contains a compact mechanism with one major and two rollers, and a single chip system control LSI including 2-kB memory. A compact mechanism with one motor and two rollers tends to cause faulty compensation of shading distortion. A new method was developed for shading compensation to solve this problem
