Abstract :
A development plan for 1 GHz class NMR magnets established and implemented at the Tsukuba Magnet Laboratory since 1995 is described. In addition, a NMR facility based on the Japanese genome science plan is introduced in relation to the 1 GHz NMR magnet project.
