Abstract :
A particular discharge regime seems to be associated with the presence of "hot spots" on the anode surface during vacuum prebreakdown, leading to increased stability. This communication ation is concerned with the description of some features of this regime, local gas desorption, current jumps on Fowler-Nordheim plots at spot ignition.
