Abstract
This papers presents technology aspects and choices relative to worldwide MAGLEV projects such as the German Transrapid, the Japanese MLX, the USA Inductrack and the Swissmetro. Propulsion, magnetic levitation and guidance, transfer of energy to the vehicle are investigated.
