Abstract :
This paper describes and proposes an autonomic computing system for PDAs or smart phone devices. The proposed system incorporates two major functions: self healing and self reconfiguration. The self healing enables system recovery when an error occurs during the operation of an application program or a middleware component whereas the self reconfiguration facilitates efficient management of system resources by autonomic management of system versions and dynamic reconfiguration of the middleware components .
