Abstract :
Echo cancellation in teleconferencing systems or loud-speaking telephones requires the modelling of acoustic transfer functions of rooms. It might he expected that for reverberant acoustical situations a pole-zero representation would be much more economical than an all-zero one. It is shown that this is not the case.
