Abstract :
A simple discussion about generator control without bode plots and other sophisticated references necessary to equipment design is presented. Two kinds of control schemes used for most generator drives, droop control, and frequency control are discussed. Synchronous and induction generators, and their differences in control, are also discussed. The operation of generators both connected to and disconnected from the utility grid is also examined
