Abstract :
In this paper, a complete low-cost atmospheric turbulence probe, capable of measuring temperature, differential temperature, humidity, horizontal wind speed and direction, and vertical wind component is described. Special care has been taken to minimize the probe´s weight so that it may be carried easily by a balloon. Its various sensors, accuracy and frequency response, determined from power spectra measured during daytime convective conditions, are given and the minimization of noice is confirmed by equivalent noise spectra measurements.
