Abstract :
Solid-state proton spectrometers for OV1-13 are described. Pulses from totally-depleted transmission detectors are accepted for differential analysis only if unaccompanied by pulses in a back-up detector. Geometrical factors are 0.5 Ã 10-2 cm2 ster and 1.0 Ã 10-2 cm2-ster respectively for the lower and higher range instruments; energy bin-widths are approximately 20%. Similar instruments are giving good data from OV1-9.
