Abstract :
On the basis of the time-domain parabolic equation, a numerical simulation of single pulse electromagnetic (EM) propagation over a smoothly non-uniform terrain is performed. Ground conductivity is taken into account via a generalised impedance boundary condition (BC). A time-domain version of a perfectly transparent BC is used to simulate radiation into free space
