Abstract :
This is the final article in a series that introduces the outline of the Shin-Toyosu Substation. In order to respond to the increasing power demand in the central Tokyo area, Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. started operation of the Shin-Toyosu Substation-which is the world´s first 500-kV underground substation-on 21 November 2000. In this article, some important pieces of apparatus used in the underground substation are briefly introduced.
