Abstract :
The radiation pattern characteristics of the Sierpinski gasket and the modified Parany gasket are compared and evaluated from a practical perspective. It is demonstrated that the radiation patterns of these antennas are not significantly different. The self-similar nature of the Sierpinski gasket´s radiation patterns is also considered. It is demonstrated that the frequencies where the Sierpinski gasket´s radiation patterns exhibit some degree of similarity do not coincide with its operating bands as defined by its return loss characteristics.
