  • Abstract
In the letter by Nadarajah and Kotz (2006), the sampling distribution of a new coherence measure proposed by us in 2001 is said to be derived, and programs for computing the moments, percentiles points and for generating random numbers are presented. The distribution discussed however only reflects a particular case for this coherence estimate, that of uncorrelated background activities and, thus, only partially resolves the problem. The expression provided by the authors is evaluated here and an inconsistency is pointed out
