Abstract
We employ mirror-transformations of matrices in this paper to represent the mirror reflection relations in the per-unit-length (PUL) matrices of multiconductor transmission lines (MTL) with mirror symmetry. From the theory of mirror-symmetric matrices, we propose a generalized odd/even modal decomposition scheme of mirror-symmetric MTL equations. We effectively divide PUL impedance matrix Z and admittance matrix Y into even- and odd-mode PUL matrices. Special cases and applications are discussed within the general theory. The rotational structure is studied specially from the view of mirror symmetry besides the view of rotational symmetry.
