  • Abstract
    An oscillating tester is built for the head/disk interface durability study. This tester uses an in-production head and disk, records friction build-up, and allows easy observation of interface wear. It can be used to quickly evaluate the tribological performance of a head/disk interface. Tests carried out on this tester showed qualitative agreement with CSS test results
