Abstract
A novel method for resolution of phase ambiguities by the use of the residue number system is presented. The contribution of noise is reduced compared to making phase measurements with little frequency difference. In addition, an error correction can be introduced to increase the robustness against noise. Computer simulations demonstrated the good performance of the method; the implementation is easy and straightforward
