Abstract
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are passive electronic components that are used in almost every electronic application and affect the product´s life span. The most important goal of capacitor development is to extend the lifetime of electronics by improving the basic electrical parameters of the capacitor, the equivalent serial resistance (ESR), impedance (Z), and leakage current (LC). The development process is very complex, requiring many measurements and tests on the electrolyte and the capacitor.
