Abstract :
For exchange-coupled RE-TM bilayer films, the thermomagnetic recording process was studied via computer simulation by use of an extended cell model that takes into account the interface wall energy. It is found that magnetization reversal and thus the size and the shape of written domains in the layer of a lower Curie temperature are strongly influenced by those in the layer of a higher Curie temperature
