Abstract :
The operation of self-oscillating type magnetic high-frequency inverters is described. These inverters utilize the coupling of two nonlinear oscillations which are generated in an orthogonal-flux type amorphous magnetic core, and consist of a Royer or Jensen circuit as an oscillator and the parametric oscillation circuit as an output transformer. The output of the inverters was 18 W at the high output frequency of 25 kHz, and excellent output voltage regulation, overload protection and noise filtering were obtained.
