Abstract :
"Cloth" or woven-pattern transformers are very thin, and are anticipated to be useful in the MHz frequency region. We calculated the characteristics of cloth transformers using an equivalent circuit and taking account of stray capacitances. In order to improve the instrument\´s characteristics, the exciting reactance must be increased. The inductance per unit volume at a given driving frequency was calculated on the basis of simple assumptions. Analysis indicated that there exists a suitable ratio of the diameters of amorphous wire and copper wire.
