Abstract
An efficient full-wave analysis, based on the method of lines, is performed on waveguides with multidiscontinuities. Three-dimensional hybrid mode analysis is used. The spectrum of the reflection coefficient for a periodic structure is provided as an example and is in good agreement with published results. Compared to other methods, the algorithm is stable in numerical computation for a large number of discontinuities
