Abstract :
The authors report a novel digital optical switch that is based on polymer rib waveguides with large cross-sections. The switches use the highly thermal stable polymer Cyclotene 3022 (benzocyclobutene) and show insertion losses of <3 dB at 1.3 μm and an extinction ratio of >20 dB
