            Abstract :
The authors report on the optical spectrum of a high power (150 mW) laser diode under large signal intensity modulation with feedback from an external cavity fibre grating. Single longitudinal facet mode operation was maintained for 6 kHz 1% and 3% duty cycle pulsed and 1 Mbit´s pseudonoise code modulation with extinction ratios as small as 0.01
