Abstract :
The modelling of signals with Laguerre functions is considered. The main contribution concerns the possibility of handling signals defined both in the negative and the positive time domains; this has a potential application to the identification of processes involving inputs and outputs whose knowledge is available near the time origin or for noncausal systems
