Abstract :
A two-stage multiuser CDMA detector that utilises the decorrelator´s tentative decisions and a recursive least squares-type algorithm to form the multiple access interference estimates is proposed. The detector is near-far resistant, and it requires neither prior estimation of the received signal amplitudes, nor the use of training sequences. It offers a fast transient response, and better error performance than a similar detector that utilises a gradient descent algorithm
